Building Community by Supporting Local Panel
Start Date: 12/9/2020Start Time: 8:00 AM
End Date: 12/9/2020End Time: 9:30 AM

Event Description:

Small businesses provide character and individuality to a community. It is neighbours helping neighbours ― friends helping friends. However, small businesses are more than that. They benefit their local communities in many concrete, quantifiable ways. Small businesses are the backbone of their local communities. In recent years, a movement has begun. It’s a movement that takes consumers away from large, impersonal big-box retailers and introduces them to the people doing business in their very own cities.

This workshop will examine the role of small business in building community, sustainability and women’s roles in how to provide leadership for community support.
