Event Description:

Join us for Protecting Water Through Prayer and Resistance: Witness from Standing Rock and Line 9.

Featured speakers include Myeengun Henry: Elder, band councillor for the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation and Aboriginal services manager at Conestoga College. He will be speaking on the Chippewas’ struggle against the development of Line 9. Rt. Rev. Mark MacDonald: National Indigenous Bishop with the Anglican Church of Canada. MacDonald will be sharing his experiences of prayer and presence, alongside other clergy, at the Dakota Access Pipeline resistance camp at Standing Rock, North Dakota.
