9:00 AM Faithful On This Land: Respecting Indigenous Spirituality in its Own Right

A one-day conference for educators, spiritual care providers, clergy and lay leaders to explore the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Call to Action 60, urging leaders of all faiths to develop and teach curricula respecting Indigenous spirituality in its own right.

The conference includes a keynote, conversation and a selection of workshops.

Speaker

Bishop Guy Erwin is a member of the Osage Nation of Oklahoma, and the first Indigenous bishop in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). His Indigenous ancestry informs his scholarship, which includes Martin Luther’s theology of the cross. Bishop Erwin is a strong advocate for social justice and is especially interested in art and architecture.

Register online by Monday, August 19. For information, see our flyer.
