This workshop is designed to give you a foundation to express your teaching philosophies and begin to build a professional teaching dossier. Participants will gain tools and strategies to craft an authentic teaching philosophy statement and prepare a draft outline. The overall format of professional teaching dossiers will be discussed as well as the materials and experiences you can collect and document to include in your dossier.
This workshop is open to all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and is a requirement for completion of the University Teaching Certificate. A follow-up workshop will take place later in the term, providing the opportunity for you to receive feedback on your teaching philosophy statement draft and further discuss your dossier.
