3:30 PM - 4:45 PM Public Lecture – The Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Prison by Paul Leighton

Professor Paul Leighton (PhD American University 1995) is a professor in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology & Criminology at Eastern Michigan University. He is a co-author (with J. Reiman) of the text, "The Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Prison," first published in 1979 and now in its 11th edition.

Dr. Leighton will be providing a keynote lecture for the National Conference on Critical Perspectives in Criminology and Social Justice. His talk is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

This is a public lecture. We ask that anyone interested in attending please register. More information about the conference as a whole can be found at criticalcriminology.ca.
