Building Resilient Communities: Responding to the Realities of Newcomers in Canadian Cities

Event Description:

Please join the International Migration Research Centre (IMRC), the Building Migration Resilience in Cities Partnership (BMRC), and the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA) for a panel titled "Building Resilient Communities: Responding to the New Realities of Newcomer Trajectories in Canadian Cities."

The panel features representatives of community organizations and researchers who will share their experiences of challenges, crises, and change in relation to migration.

  • Fran Hannigan (University of Waterloo)

Tara Bedard (LIP Chair/KW City Network BRMC) will facilitate discussion.

Jenna Hennebry (Laurier) and Valerie Preston (York) will provide opening and closing remarks.

The evening will wrap up with a reception in the CIGI lobby. This event is free and open to the public. Please register for the panel and reception.
