  • 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Barry Ace: Coalesce, Mixed Media Installation (Opening)

Join us to celebrate the final exhibition of the season.

Coalesce presents a fusion of distinct Anishinaabeg aesthetics of the Great Lakes’ region with the refuse from Western society’s technological and digital age. This entanglement of materials intentionally shifts the object’s materiality and its accepted paradigm within the physical world. Through this integration and juxtaposition of recognizable Anishinaabeg materials used in Anishinaabeg material culture (e.g. glass beads, porcupine quills), with contemporary electronic materials (e.g. capacitors and resistors), the exhibition will challenge viewers to reject and re-examine notions of cultural status.

    11:45 AM - 1:00 PM Student Recital

Meet the future of classical musicians at our weekly Student Recital featuring current Laurier Faculty of Music students.

    4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Senate

Pursuant to the Wilfrid Laurier University Act, Senate has broad jurisdiction over the university’s academic matters, including the power to establish educational policies of the university, deal with curriculum matters, determine policies related to tenure and promotion of faculty, determine standards of admission of students, and engage in long-range academic planning.

The agenda will be posted approximately one week in advance of the meeting and approved minutes will follow once approved at the subsequent meeting.  Full agenda packages can be accessed by staff and faculty on Laurier Connect.

For questions or concerns please contact Sarah McLellan.
