Event Description:

The Bachelor of Social Work program is proud to present a series of events for Social Work Week 2020 called "Community Development for Diversity and Inclusion: Building a Movement." Lunch will be provided to all attendees.

Schedule of Events

  • 10 a.m. to 10:05 a.m. – Welcome
  • 10:05 a.m. to 10:35 a.m. – What happened and is still happening on the Haldimand Tract,  Kawennakon Bonnie Whitlow
  • 10:40 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. – Panel featuring:
    • Pascale Diverlus, Black Lives Matter
    • Sarah Jama, The Disability Justice Network of Ontario
    • Nicole Desnoyers, Queer Métis community organizer and caregiver
  • Noon to 12:45 p.m. – Breakout Workshops
  • 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Lunch/Networking

Open to Laurier students, faculty and agencies. Registration is required by Feb. 28:
