All Day Indigenist Research Symposium 2019

Join Indigenous Researchers as they discuss research within Indigenous Communities.

This is an annual symposium and registration is required.

    This workshop helps students plan for and achieve a successful review of course content for final exams.

    Registration is required! Register through the student success portal.

  • 12:30 PM - 12:50 PM Something Sacred - Prayers for the World

    Join us each Wednesday for Prayers for the World with Luther. We host sessions weekly over the lunch hour.

    Stop by any day of the week for different activities:

    • Mondays – contemplative music
    • Tuesdays – Reading and Reflecting on the Book of Acts: A Window into the Early Church
    • Wednesdays – prayers for the world
    • Thursdays – Chilling with Dogs; multifaith teachings
    • Fridays – Settler Work: contemplative arts; Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)

    A facilitated study group (FSG) is a time and place for you to get together with other people from your classes and an FSG leader (someone who has previously taken the course) to discuss the course content and gain a deeper understanding of what is being covered in the class lectures and readings.

    This does not mean that the FSG leaders will teach you the content, but they will help you enhance your understanding of course material, and they can also help students with understanding assignment requirements.

    Join us weekly for Coffee Club!

    Meet new people and share experiences from your own country while learning more about Canadian culture in a relaxed and informal setting. Coffee, tea and snacks will be served.

    Students who attend 8 sessions will get a designation on their Laurier Experience Record.
