All Day LIFT Exhibition Series: Unobstructed Beauty (Multi-Day Event)

This year, the LIFT series features three female painters from the Waterloo Region: Lauren Judge, Marion R. Anderson, and Anne Filiatrault. Each artist shares a narrative that invites viewers to reflect on how we perceive and experience our surrounding environment.

The LIFT microgalleries are located on floors 4-6 of the Waterloo campus Library.

  • All Day Tree of Warmth Collection (Multi-Day Event)

    Support the community with warmth through the Salvation Army Tree of Warmth. From Dec. 1 through Dec. 15, winter hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and socks of all sizes can be dropped off to donation bins in the following locations:

    • SC Johnson Building lobby, Brantford campus
    • Research Academic Centre lobby, Brantford campus
    • Alumni Hall, Waterloo campus
    • Teaching and Learning Centre, room 294, 202 Regina Street, Waterloo
    • Communications, Public Affairs and Marketing, room 301, 255 King St., Waterloo

    Donations will be delivered on Dec. 18 and 19 by the Salvation Army.

    Why Attend a Free GMAT Information Session?

    You will learn what the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) is all about. We will discuss the general content of the GMAT, what to study, how to study, how to improve your score, as well as the overall format and scoring scale of the GMAT itself.

    Where Will It Be Held?

    Laurier’s FREE GMAT Information Sessions will be held at the Laurier downtown Toronto office located at 130 King Street West, The Exchange Tower.

    When Will the Sessions Be Held?

    Lunch time: Noon to 1:30 p.m.

    Wilfrid Laurier University and Quantum Test Prep, the premier provider of test preparation services, are partnering together to offer a comprehensive 50-hr GMAT Bootcamp Course in Waterloo and a 75-hr Complete Math GMAT Course or 100Hr Ultimate GMAT Course to be held over two to four consecutive weekends in Downtown Toronto.     What is the Course Content?

    The course will review all the fundamental GMAT Math and Verbal theory as well as discuss optimal solution methodologies for each of the major question, section, and format types that appear on the exam.

  • 3:15 PM - 4:45 PM Senate Finance Committee

    The S​​enate Finance Committee considers the financial position of the university and its fiscal responsibility for maintaining all academic programs. It makes recommendations to Senate on budget planning as well as on the details of the annual university operating budget as prepared for presentation to Senate and the Board of Governors. The recommendations of Senate on that budget are forwarded to the Board of Governors, the body with ultimate fiduciary responsibility for the university.

    The agenda will be posted approximately one week in advance of the meeting and approved minutes will follow once approved at the subsequent meeting.  Full agenda packages can be accessed on Laurier Connect.

    5:45 PM - 7:30 PM Waterloo MBA Information Session
    Now is the time to learn about all of our Lazaridis MBA Program formats and ready your application for the Full-time and Co-op in Waterloo and Part-time alternate weekends in Toronto. At the Information Session you will learn about all of our MBA formats: the Full-time options, including Co-op, the MBA for CMA’s, the MBA with CPA and the new double degree, MBA with Master of Finance. We will discuss the admission criteria, the application process, and help you determine your eligibility. We offer GMAT support, application counselling, and classroom visits.     Canada’s Hidden Histories

    Our country’s 150th anniversary has been a year of both celebration and debate about our collective and contested past. Four professors from Laurier and Waterloo will bring to light some of the hidden figures and narratives, including those of First Nations, gender struggles, and migration/refugee experiences.
