All Day Human Rights Day

The United Nations Association Hamilton Chapter is celebrating Dec. 10 Human Rights Day (the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights). Associate Professor Stacey Wilson-Forsberg will be speaking about the rights of refugees and will share the podium with university students who have arrived as WUSC refugee scholarship students.

9:30 AM - 12:30 PM University Teaching Foundations Certificate

The University Teaching Foundations certificate consists of a series of hands-on workshops and microteaching sessions to provide graduate students a basic foundation for success in the classroom as a teaching assistant, as well as gain transferable skills for use in future employment opportunities.

This is the intensive offering of the certificate in which the five required workshops and two required microteaching sessions are offered.

    Join President and Vice-Chancellor Deborah MacLatchy and Midas the Hawk at the 2019 President’s Holiday Photo Booth.

    All Laurier faculty, staff and students are welcome to come share some holiday cheer and take a selfie with President MacLatchy and the hawk at the holiday photo booth.

    On the Waterloo campus, drop by the Concourse on Tuesday, Dec. 10 between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m. In Brantford, stop by the RCW Lobby on Wednesday, Dec. 11 between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m.​

    This is a session for both students and parents who are looking for insight into Laurier's admissions process and life at Laurier.

    There will be two 20-minute presentations followed by a question-and-answer period.

    In the first section, we'll discuss the application process, admission requirements and when admissions decisions are made. The second part of our presentation will focus on answering your questions.
