7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Mysterious Barricades - "The Stories We Tell"

Mysterious Barricades is an annual series of cross-Canada concerts for suicide awareness, prevention, and hope. 

Performers Include: Penderecki String Quartet, Guy Few (trumpet) & Stephanie Mara (piano), Gerard Yun (shakuhachi), Rene Meshake (pipigwan), and the band Safe as Houses.

In partnership with the Kitchener Public Library and Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council.

This concert will be recorded and then streamed on Saturday, September 14, 2019

The Kanata Centre's Art on the Wall program presents an Indigenous Group Exhibit.

Hours:

  • Weekdays  from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Some weekday evenings until January 25, 2019.
  • Excludes campus closure for Christmas and New Year holidays.

  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Mood Walks

    Join us weekly for mood walks, and take the pre/post surveys to identify your mood. Free giveaways include fruit, snacks, protein bars, protein drinks, shirts, coats and water bottles. Free certified hiker training is included. Walkers meet  in front of  the student centre every Monday.

    A casual drop-in time for makers and aspiring makers to visit and work in the Library Makerspace. All are welcome to explore 3D printing, sewing, diecutting, photography and much more.

    This is a session for both students and parents who are looking for some insight into our admissions process and an opportunity to ask questions regarding life at Laurier. We'll discuss the application process, what we look for and when admissions decisions are made. The second part of our presentation will focus on general Q&A. This is your chance to get your questions answered in real time from our Recruitment and Admissions staff. Learn more about how to accept your offer, programs of interest, the student experience and more. Take this opportunity to tune in and listen as you’re sure to gather useful information from this combo webinar! There will be two 20-minute presentations followed by a question-and-answer period. Questions will also be taken throughout the presentation and can be sent in via the live-chat option of the webinar system.
