End Time 7:30 PM Info Session: Holy Land Study Tour (Multi-Day Event)

Martin Luther University College will be leading a study tour to the Holy Land Apr. 22 – May 7, 2019. Join us for an info session about the tour. 

About the Holy Land Study Tour 

Visit sites in Jerusalem, Galilee and occupied territories. Meet teachers and students at Lutheran schools, Rabbis for Human Rights, and the Wi’am Human Rights Centre, CLWR development workers. Worship with Palestinian Christian and Jewish congregations.

The tour is designed for study, rather than tourism. Prospective travellers must be registered in a degree program (credit can be transferred to the home institution through a Letter of Permission) or you can join the tour as a continuing education student.

    Join us for a lecture to commemorate the First World War Centenary, featuring Paul Rogers, Professor Emeritus in Peace Studies, University of Bradford.

  • 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM IMRC 10th Anniversary and Preibisch Migration Lecture

    Please join us to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Laurier's International Migration Research Centre. Doors open at 4 p.m., with introductions beginning at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m. Osgoode Hall Professor and social justice lawyer Fay Faraday will provide the Dr. Kerry Preibisch Global Social Justice and Migration Lecture. The lecture will be followed by a reception with community members, featuring art, food and live music by refugee musicians in collaboration with Sanctuary Refugee Health Centre.

    Join the Tandem Program for a multilingual karaoke showcase! Participants in the Tandem Program are invited to sing with their partners in the language they are learning. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be provided. This is a FREE event and is open to all students! Presented in partnership with Laurier International and Languages and Literatures, Faculty of Arts.
