All Day LIFT Exhibition Series: Unobstructed Beauty (Multi-Day Event)

This year, the LIFT series features three female painters from the Waterloo Region: Lauren Judge, Marion R. Anderson, and Anne Filiatrault. Each artist shares a narrative that invites viewers to reflect on how we perceive and experience our surrounding environment.

The LIFT microgalleries are located on floors 4-6 of the Waterloo campus Library daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Scheduling a personal appointment is your first step to joining the Lazaridis MBA Program. At the session, we will discuss admission criteria, the application process, and help you determine your eligibility.

    Personal appointments are approximately 30 minutes long, and must be pre-booked through the sidebar, or directly, with Maureen Ferraro. We look forward to meeting with you!

    Now is the time to learn about all of our Lazaridis MBA Program formats and ready your application for the Full-time and Co-op in Waterloo and Part-time alternate weekends in Toronto.

    At the Information Session you will learn about all of our MBA formats: the Full-time options, including Co-op, the MBA for CMA’s, the MBA with CPA and the new double degree, MBA with Master of Finance.

    We will discuss the admission criteria, the application process, and help you determine your eligibility. We offer GMAT support, application counselling, and classroom visits.

    Need a little help in getting back up to speed on core GMAT or GRE math concepts? The Laurier MBA has teamed up with Quantum Test Prep to provide a FREE GMAT math refresher! Register for this event at www.lazaridismba.ca.

    If you are rusty at Math, have some ‘Math anxiety’, or just want to brush up & review your basic Math skills, then we strongly recommend you attend this class.

    The Quantum Pre-GMAT Math Refresher class is designed to help you build a strong foundation in the basic Math skills required on the GMAT exam.

    The workshop is located at Laurier’s Toronto MBA campus at St. Andrew’s Club and Conference Centre.

    With generous support from the Graduate Student Association (GSA), this is the third event of the FALL term! We also acknowledge support from the Wilfrid Laurier University Press for sponsoring books for our readers. FEATURING: Introductory Reading by MASA TORBICA. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Waterloo (specializing in Canadian literature and rhetoric), and a Fiction Editor at The New Quarterly. She writes in English and Serbian. Her recent work in English appears or is forthcoming in The Puritan, Versal, Understorey, and Qu Literary Magazine. Her second poetry collection in Serbian, titled Atlas, will be published next year. It took PAMELA MORDECAI 18 years to complete a PhD in English on the poetry of Kamau Brathwaite and Derek Walcott. Brathwaite’s brilliant poem, “Flutes”, in Jah Music, is dedicated to her. She has published six collections of poetry, two entirely in Jamaican Creole. Her debut novel, Red Jacket, in which Jamaican patwa also features, was shortlisted for the Rogers Writers Trust Fiction Prize in 2015. She lives in Kitchener. LAURIE D. GRAHAM comes from Treaty 6 territory, and she currently lives in Haldimand Treaty territory, where she is a poet, an editor, the publisher of Brick magazine, and a member of the advisory board for the Oskana Poetry & Poetics series. Her first book, Rove, was nominated for the Gerald Lampert Memorial Award, and her second book, Settler Education, was nominated for the Trillium Award for Poetry. MANREET LACHHAR hails from Brampton, Ontario, and is in her fifth and final year of her English degree. In her third year, she was published in Blueprint Magazine, and liked it so much that she took it over. You'll typically find her with a pencil in one hand and chocolate in the other. Doors open at 6:30pm, event starts at 7pm. There will be a Q&A session following the readings. The event is free, and all are welcome. There will be snacks and refreshments. This event is wheelchair accessible.
