The top three photos will be framed and displayed in the Laurier International office in One Market.

  • End Day Journey to the Mexican Border (Multi-Day Event)

    Neala Hayratiyan traveled to the border of Mexico and Guatemala, along with Associate Professor Stacey Wilson-Forsberg, on the 2019 Mexico Migration field course. This photo exhibit shares some of that journey, introducing real people who challenge our ideas about migration.

    Applications to go on exchange for the 2020/21 academic year are due in January 2020. Attending an information session is a mandatory part of the application process.

  • 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM Laurier Percussion Ensemble
    Laurier’s Percussion Ensemble performs programs of large, contemporary works for percussion balanced with diverse and unique repertoire that pushes the boundaries of the genre, including world music and improvisation. The group places an emphasis on creating a close-knit community by building relationships and creating memorable musical experiences, all within a framework of outstanding musical performance.

    12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Something Sacred - Settler Work

    Join us each Friday over the lunch hour for reflection.

    You are welcome to join us beginning at noon for a contemplative art activity or, if you prefer, to drop in at 12:30 p.m. for the focused conversation as the day’s contemplative art activity continues. The 20-minute focused conversation will be on the Calls for Justice prescribed in the report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

    Stop by any day of the week for different activities:

    • Mondays – contemplative music
    • Tuesdays – Reading and Reflecting on the Book of Acts: A Window into the Early Church
    • Wednesdays – prayers for the world
    • Thursdays – Chilling with Dogs; multifaith teachings
    • Fridays – Settler Work: contemplative arts; Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)

Let’s come together as men and masculine folks to create change and learn to stand up, and speak out against gender-based and sexual violence.

    Learn how you can travel to China for two to three weeks in July 2020 as part of the Summer Leadership Experience. Through the program, you will facilitate workshops and events at various schools throughout China while building your intercultural and leadership skills.
