Event Description:

Nuha Dwaikat Shaer, a lecturer with the Faculty of Social Work, will be discussing housing as it relates to human rights.

Housing is a universal human right and essential to human survival and dignity. Yet, in conflict zones such as Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), policies of home destruction and forcible displacement severely affect vulnerable Palestinian communities.

This event is presented in collaboration with WUSC as part of International Education Week.
