  • Start Day International Education Week Photo Contest (Multi-Day Event)

    Submit your favourite photo from your travels with Laurier and win a prize!

    Photos can be sent to globalengagement@wlu.ca, by Thursday, Nov. 14. All submissions will be displayed in the RCW lobby during International Education Week, where you can vote on your favourites. The top three photos will be framed and displayed in the Laurier International office in One Market.

  • Start Day Journey to the Mexican Border (Multi-Day Event)

    Neala Hayratiyan traveled to the border of Mexico and Guatemala, along with Associate Professor Stacey Wilson-Forsberg, on the 2019 Mexico Migration field course. This photo exhibit shares some of that journey, introducing real people who challenge our ideas about migration.

  • 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM STEP Program for Mature and Transfer Students: Exam Extravaganza!

    The STEP (Strengthening Transitions through Educational Preparation) Program is a specialized support program developed for mature and transfer students. Each workshop is designed to help you prepare for the rigors of a university education, feel confident about your learning skills, and connect with other mature and transfer students.

    This workshop, Exam Extravaganza!, will give you the opportunity to discuss strategies for planning your study time, preparing for and taking objective tests, and preparing for and writing essay exams.

    Registration is required! Register through the student success portal.

    Take some time each Monday to pause with contemplative music at Luther. We host sessions weekly over the lunch hour.

    Stop by any day of the week for different activities:

    • Mondays – contemplative music
    • Tuesdays – Reading and Reflecting on the Book of Acts: A Window into the Early Church
    • Wednesdays – prayers for the world
    • Thursdays – Chilling with Dogs; multifaith teachings
    • Fridays – Settler Work: contemplative arts; Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)

    An information session on the steps required to become a permanent resident of Canada, as well as information on how to obtain your post-graduate work permit and other work permits. The session will be facilitated by an immigration officer.
