All Day LIFT Exhibition Series: Unobstructed Beauty (Multi-Day Event)

This year, the LIFT series features three female painters from the Waterloo Region: Lauren Judge, Marion R. Anderson, and Anne Filiatrault. Each artist shares a narrative that invites viewers to reflect on how we perceive and experience our surrounding environment.

The LIFT microgalleries are located on floors 4-6 of the Waterloo campus Library daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • End Day International Education Week (Multi-Day Event)

    Laurier International hosts Education Week (IEW) every year in November and celebrates alongside universities in over 100 countries around the world. IEW provides various departments, faculties and student organizations an opportunity to celebrate and showcase the diversity of programs, events and activities on campus and in the community that expose students to an international dimension, enriching their learning and preparing them to engage and challenge the world in all its complexity.

    Activities will be happening on the Waterloo and Brantford campuses all week. Information on the activities will be posted in the calendar as it becomes available.

    The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Youth Training Conference is one of 50 youth training sessions about the SDGs being led at post-secondary institutions across Canada by Foundation for Environmental Stewardship (FES), a youth-led, youth-serving sustainable development organization accredited by the UN. A committee of students from Laurier’s Waterloo and Brantford campuses is organizing the Laurier event. This event is part of International Education Week. #IEW2017

  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM UN Sustainable Development Goals Youth Training Conference

    Building on the momentum of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the aim of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. The 17 SDGs cover three dimensions of sustainable development: economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protections.

    Transportation is provided from Brantford to Waterloo.

    The Faculty of Education invites prospective applicants to attend an MEd information session. We welcome prospective applicants to visit the Faculty of Education to learn more about the MEd program, hear from current students and recent graduates, and receive tips on how to submit a successful admissions package. This is also a great opportunity to meet with the Graduate Program Coordinator, Kristiina Montero, and Graduate Program Assistant, Ursula Wolfe, who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

  • 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Brantford Mystery Hunt - Framed in the Past: The Tightrope Walker

    This is a team-based live puzzle game created by Laurier students for Dr. Nicholson's Escape Room and Puzzle Design class and run out of the BGNlab. Teams will explore some of Brantford's history, engage with actors, and solve puzzles and challenges as they play through "Framed in the Past". Teams must register ahead of time, and slots are limited.

    There is no cost for the event, but teams are requested to make a donation to Laurier's United Way campaign to reserve a slot. For information, visit the Brantford Mystery Hunt registration page at
