All Day Art Exhibition: Surface Tension (Multi-Day Event)
The Robert Langen Art Gallery's Fall 2016 exhibition, Surface Tension is an ongoing collaborative interdisciplinary sound and video work created by renowned Canadian artists Eve Egoyan (piano) and David Rokeby (installation). On Fridays during the exhibition run, visitors are invited to play the Disklavier themselves and to experience the ways in which the video projection responds to their inputs. We gratefully acknowledge Yamaha Canada Music and Music Plus for generously providing the Yamaha Disklavier Piano featured in the exhibit.

    Title

Recent advances in the search for complementary sequences

    Abstract

We will describe new theoretical and computational results in the search for complementary sequences. We will also describe the kind of algorithmic schemes used in the search for complementary sequences. These algorithmic schemes use ideas and techniques from discrete Fourier transform, Group Theory, Artificial Intelligence, meta-heuristics, meta-programming and parallel computing. Some open problems in the area will also be discussed. Joint work in a series of papers with D.Z. Djokovic.
