All Day Art Exhibition: Surface Tension (Multi-Day Event)
The Robert Langen Art Gallery's Fall 2016 exhibition, Surface Tension is an ongoing collaborative interdisciplinary sound and video work created by renowned Canadian artists Eve Egoyan (piano) and David Rokeby (installation). On Fridays during the exhibition run, visitors are invited to play the Disklavier themselves and to experience the ways in which the video projection responds to their inputs. We gratefully acknowledge Yamaha Canada Music and Music Plus for generously providing the Yamaha Disklavier Piano featured in the exhibit.

  • f1.4: The Changing Face of Contemporary Photography

    This year’s LIFT series of community artist exhibits feature the images of KW area photographers Darin White, Stefan Rose and Stephen Orlando.

    The LIFT micro-galleries are located directly across from the elevators on floors 4, 5 and 6 of Laurier’s Waterloo campus Library.

    The series brings community artists from the grassroots up into the stacks.

  • 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Oboe Day and Recital

    Join guest artist oboist Jonathan Fischer as he helps lead a masterclass and recital.


    • 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Masterclass with Jonathan (room A431) **Limited spots will be available for non-WLU students to perform. Please email in order to request a spot. A pianist will be available.**
    • 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Oboe Marketplace/Lunch (room TBC) Take advantage of this unique opportunity to browse Jimboe Products’ huge inventory of oboes and English horns, and Blackwood Double Reed Supplies’ oboe and reed-making accessories. Private rooms will be available for trying instruments.
    • 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. – Recital (Maureen Forrester Recital Hall) Featuring Jonathan Fischer, Richard Dorsey, Graham Mackenzie, James Mason, and Eric Hall (bassoon).
    10:30 AM - 11:30 AM thirdspace_ Weekly Worship

    Music, Scripture, communion and conversation every Sunday right here on campus.

    We also get together during the term for games nights, service events, potlucks and other occasions.
