All Day Art Exhibition: Surface Tension (Multi-Day Event)
The Robert Langen Art Gallery's Fall 2016 exhibition, Surface Tension is an ongoing collaborative interdisciplinary sound and video work created by renowned Canadian artists Eve Egoyan (piano) and David Rokeby (installation). On Fridays during the exhibition run, visitors are invited to play the Disklavier themselves and to experience the ways in which the video projection responds to their inputs. We gratefully acknowledge Yamaha Canada Music and Music Plus for generously providing the Yamaha Disklavier Piano featured in the exhibit.

Gendered and Sexual Violence Draft Policy - Student Consultations

Students: Laurier needs your feedback on its sexual violence policy.

Provincial legislation requires Ontario campuses to have standalone policy on sexual violence in place by January. Laurier is now in the final stages of drafting its policy and procedures. The policy working group of the Gendered Violence Task Force is now asking for feedback from students.

Your voice is really important in this conversation. We would love you to be there to discuss the policy and procedure, and share ideas and thoughts for consideration. All consultation participants have the option of participating in a one-on-one in-person meeting, a town hall forum, and/or produce a written submission in response to reviewing the policy and procedure.

The working group members involved in the town hall forum will be open to listening to all perspectives and stories and will do their best to ensure participants are heard. However, these forums are not the best time for working group members to receive and respond to reports of sexualized violence. If you require assistance navigating experiences of sexual violence, contact Sarah Scanlon, the Sexual Violence Support Advocate, atsscanlon@wlu.ca for support and advocacy support.
