8:30 AM - 5:00 PM LIFT Exhibition Series: Unobstructed Beauty

This year, the LIFT series features three female painters from the Waterloo Region: Lauren Judge, Marion R. Anderson, and Anne Filiatrault. Each artist shares a narrative that invites viewers to reflect on how we perceive and experience our surrounding environment.

The LIFT microgalleries are located on floors 4-6 of the Waterloo campus Library.

    The Library welcomes student players Ella Latta-Suazo, Laura Moolenbeek, Sam Tai, Caleb Degroot-Maggetti, Hayley Naunton for a noon performance in the Robert Langen Gallery within the library. Brent Rowan from the Faculty of Music invites you: "The Community Music Ensemble will demonstrate a wide variety of the types of music explored from week to week during rehearsals. Each song has a special meaning to each student which they will share during this performance. The performers are arranged by the students in groups as large as 8 and as small as 1! All the music is chosen by the students."

  • 12:20 PM - 12:45 PM Towards Right Relations

    Join us Friday afternoons as we work towards reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. There will be an opportunity to smudge beginning at 12:20 p.m. followed by singing, drumming, reflection and readings.

    THEME: Indigenous art.

    LOCATION: Waterloo Lutheran Seminary temporary location at 190 Lester St. Second floor. Kanata Commons.
