8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Art on the Wall - The B.E.S.T.

Drop into the seminary to view the exhibition The B.E.S.T. -- The Beauty of Embracing Spectacular Talent by various artists supported by Christian Horizons. The seminary is also open during some weekday evenings.

  • 10:30 AM - 6:30 PM #TAG Graffiti Art Project

    Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth will come together in a cultural exchange for a Wilfrid Laurier University-led initiative referred to as the TAG project (Transformation Action Graffiti).

    When the project is complete, two large-scale murals by Chile’s famed Alapinta artists – one on Six Nations of the Grand River Territory, and one in the City of Brantford – will stand as a testament to the healing, friendship and cultural pride that the project hopes to engender.

    Student Awards wants to make sure that students have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make responsible financial decisions.     A brief introduction to the seminary's Art on the Wall exhibition during October: The B.E.S.T. – The Beauty of Embracing Spectacular Talent by various artists supported by Christian Horizons. The introduction takes place in the chapel immediately after the Open Door service.

    6:00 PM - 6:50 PM Soup and Bread Supper

    Join us Wednesdays (excluding reading week) for low-cost ($2 donation) suppers of soup, bread and dessert. Yummy! You are also welcome to join us for our weekly Open Door service beginning at 5 p.m.

    7:00 PM Robert Langen Art Gallery Grand Re-Opening and 1st Exhibition - Surface Tension with artists Eve Egoyan and David Rokeby

    Join us for the grand opening of the Robert Langen Art Gallery’s new home in Laurier’s Waterloo campus Library.

    Performance at 8 p.m.

    We will be transforming the new Langen Gallery space into an immersive art experience, allowing guests to enjoy a stylish, sophisticated party while experiencing the cutting edge work of two of Canada’s premiere artists: pianist Eve Egoyan and visual artist David Rokeby.

    Egoyan and Rokeby will be on hand introduce their sound and video installation Surface Tension, the gallery’s inaugural show in the new space.

    We look forward to celebrating this bold new chapter for the gallery together with artists, students, faculty members, and community leaders from a diverse range of backgrounds. Further details, including event registration information, will be available in early September.
