10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Executive & Governance Committee Meeting

The Executive and Governance Committee is empowered to act on behalf of the Board with powers of executive authority as delegated. The Committee has overall responsibility for board education, the completion of annual and strategic plans, and the governance structures and practices of the Board.

The agenda will be posted approximately one week in advance of the meeting and approved minutes will follow once approved at the subsequent meeting.  Full agenda packages can be accessed on Laurier Connect.

    There is no need to register. Just drop in!

    Applications to go on exchange for the 2020/21 academic year are due in January 2020. Attending an information session is a mandatory part of the application process.

    Join us in support of Laurier's Think Languages Day event for our Kernel's popcorn fundraiser.

    Join us each Friday over the lunch hour for reflection.

    You are welcome to join us beginning at noon for a contemplative art activity or, if you prefer, to drop in at 12:30 p.m. for the focused conversation as the day’s contemplative art activity continues. The 20-minute focused conversation will be on the Calls for Justice prescribed in the report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

    Stop by any day of the week for different activities:

    • Mondays – contemplative music
    • Tuesdays – Reading and Reflecting on the Book of Acts: A Window into the Early Church
    • Wednesdays – prayers for the world
    • Thursdays – Chilling with Dogs; multifaith teachings
    • Fridays – Settler Work: contemplative arts; Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)

    This workshop explores the research behind reading on paper versus e-reading and will introduce students to active reading strategies for different kinds of academic readings including textbooks, journal articles, and literary works whether in print or on-screen.

    Join us for a gathering at the Research and Academic Centre courtyard in remembrance of missing and murdered Indigenous women (MMIW).

    The speakers will be followed by a traditional meal at the Indigenous Student Centre.

    The first in a three-day multifaith, community music and word event. This first event will feature a panel discussion with members of Abraham Jam. The group is comprised of a Muslim, Jew and Christian who will discuss how singing together nurtures passion for the common good.

    Presented by Wilfrid Laurier University's Faculty of Music and the Kanata Centre for Worship and Global Song at Martin Luther University College.
