The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics'
Economist-in-Residence Speaker Series provides students, alumni,
faculty, staff and the public with new ideas and perspectives in the
field of economics.
Each year, one Economist-in-Residence is appointed by the dean of the
Lazaridis School of Business & Economics to deliver a public
keynote address and meet with students and faculty.
Our 2016-17 Economist-in-Residence, Craig Alexander,
is the senior VP and chief economist for the Conference Board of Canada
and will present a keynote on "Productivity, Innovation and
Competitiveness: Canada's Challenges."
