All Day Art Exhibition: Surface Tension (Multi-Day Event)
The Robert Langen Art Gallery's Fall 2016 exhibition, Surface Tension is an ongoing collaborative interdisciplinary sound and video work created by renowned Canadian artists Eve Egoyan (piano) and David Rokeby (installation). On Fridays during the exhibition run, visitors are invited to play the Disklavier themselves and to experience the ways in which the video projection responds to their inputs. We gratefully acknowledge Yamaha Canada Music and Music Plus for generously providing the Yamaha Disklavier Piano featured in the exhibit.

Join us as Vianne Timmons, president and vice-chancellor of the University of Regina delivers a talk titled, Women’s Leadership in Academia: Everyone’s Challenge, followed by a question-and-answer session and reception.

Although women have made tremendous strides in the workplace in recent decades, they still face a variety of challenges that hinder their development as leaders. In her presentation, Timmons will discuss how women's leadership is an issue for everyone, and outline strategies to encourage, develop and promote women leaders both inside and outside academia.

This event is co-sponsored by Laurier’s Office of the Provost and Vice-President: Academic, the Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty Association (WLUFA), and the Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC).
