7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Mysterious Barricades - "The Stories We Tell"

Mysterious Barricades is an annual series of cross-Canada concerts for suicide awareness, prevention, and hope. 

Performers Include: Penderecki String Quartet, Guy Few (trumpet) & Stephanie Mara (piano), Gerard Yun (shakuhachi), Rene Meshake (pipigwan), and the band Safe as Houses.

In partnership with the Kitchener Public Library and Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council.

This concert will be recorded and then streamed on Saturday, September 14, 2019

All Day Xiaojing Yan: Heaven and Earth Mixed Media Installation (Multi-Day Event)

Xiaojing Yan's Heaven and Earth is a mixed media installation that features a mountain made of thousands of pine needles embedded in a silk organza and presents a different approach to traditional Chinese landscape painting.

Xiaojing Yan is a Chinese-Canadian artist based in Markham, Ontario. Her art highlights sculptural installations that combine the cultural and natural world and integrates both Western and Eastern elements, paralleling her own cultural identity a a Chinese-Canadian.

    The Audit and Compliance Committee is responsible for ensuring the appropriate controls and accountabilities exist within the University as relate to finance, statutory and regulatory compliance, and policy requirements. The Committee also provides an avenue of communication among the external auditors, management, the internal auditor, and the Board of Governors.

    The Kanata Centre's Art on the Wall program presents an Indigenous Group Exhibit.

    Academic advising will be hosting drop-in appointments for the entire month of January, starting on Jan. 7 running until Jan. 25. They will be Monday to Friday from 9–11:30 a.m. and again from 1–3:30 p.m.. The events are first come, first served. Please note that we will cut the line when we reach capacity.     The Human Resources and Compensation Committee shall be responsible for overseeing the salary, benefits and compensation settlements and arrangements for all employees of the University.​

    1:30 PM - 3:30 PM Opening of Mature Learner Study Space
    Are you a mature learner or transfer student, and want to have the opportunity to meet and study with other mature learners and transfer students on campus? Help us celebrate the opening of the Mature Learner Study Space by dropping by the Multi-Purpose Room (basement of Student Centre) to connect with other mature learners and transfer students, mingle with student support staff, and learn about upcoming events and programming on campus. We would also love to hear your input about the study space and future mature learner programming you want to see on campus. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Hope to see you there!

    Healthy relationships are essential to wellness. Join us to talk about respectful relationships, how to maintain wellness within them, and how to cope if they end. We will also talk about having positive conversations about consent and the importance of personal boundaries. Workshops are free for all registered students, and registration is not required. Find the Wellness Education Centre below the Student Wellness Centre and down the hall from Veritas Café.
