10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Senate Governance Committee (SG)
The Governance Committee shall have the responsibility of preparing a list of nominees to Senate committees for the annual meeting or as required. The Governance Committee may
select nominees from outside the Senate except where otherwise stipulated. The establishment of a list of nominees does not preclude nomination from the floor. The Governance Committee shall consider and make recommendations to Senate for the proper functioning of the Senate. (See Terms of Reference 1.4).

The agenda will be posted approximately one week in advance of the meeting and approved minutes will follow once approved at the subsequent meeting. Full agenda packages can be accessed by staff and faculty on Laurier Connect.

    Join Laurier students in concert

    12:30 PM - 1:00 PM Something Sacred - Reading and Reflecting on the Acts of the Apostles

    Read and reflect each Tuesday with Luther. Join us as Mona Tokarek LaFosse, Luther's assistant professor, reads the Acts of the Apostles. Followed by reflection and discussion. We host session weekly over the lunch hour.

    Stop by any day of the week for different activities:

    • Mondays – Contemplative Music
    • Tuesdays – Reading and Reflecting on the Book of Acts: A Window into the Early Church
    • Wednesdays – Prayers for the World
    • Thursdays – Chilling with Dogs; Multifaith Teachings
    • Fridays – Settler Work: Contemplative Arts, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)

  • 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Work Eligibility and Job Search Workshop for International Students

    This workshop is co-facilitated with Laurier International and is intended for international students.

    Students attending this session will:

    • Learn about on-campus and off-campus work eligibility and SIN application procedures.
    • Expand their awareness of resources used in the job search.
    • Learn strategies of how to become more active in the job search and build a professional network.

    Please bring your OneCard to this event.

    Join us weekly for Coffee Club!

    Meet new people and share experiences from your own country while learning more about Canadian culture in a relaxed and informal setting. Coffee, tea and snacks will be served.

    Students who attend 8 sessions will get a designation on their Laurier Experience Record.
